Haunted News and Locations

The night at Ghost Hollow Ranch will take place on April 18, 2009 from 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM at 12216 Gabbys Road - Chandlersville, Illinois. The cost is $60 per person. The event includes:

**A private ghost hunt with Illinois Haunt Guide.

**History and haunting information for the area.

**Night time access to the Ranch area.

**A visit to the Indian mounds on the property.

**Tour of the haunted Dick cemetery.

I found a great site which features ghost videos. I’m not sure how often new ones are posted, but there are quite a few to watch. The Ghost Crying video is really creepy! Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

This is an interesting story I came across today from the UK newspaper the Telegraph. Apparently a ghostly Victorian figure was filmed on Google Street View before vanishing. What’s really strange according to the article is that she doesn’t appear to be a full figure, you can’t see all of her.

The film comes from the Tiger Bay, Cardiff which is the scene of murders and unsolved mysteries going back 200 years.

Experts have been called in to examine the film. Wonder what their findings will be?

The Haunted Attraction National Tradeshow and Convention (HAuNTcon) goes to the trouble of moving to a new city each year so that it can offer off season tours of Haunted Houses you have heard of but never been able to visit in October.

The movie A Haunting In Conneticuit opens in theaters today. Reviews I have read have been mixed.

I was planning on going to see it tonight, but due to a Blizzard yesterday I won’t be able to. Hopefully I will get to in a few days. If anyone sees it today I would love to hear your comments!

Many of the experiences at these locations are that of being touched, cold spots, apparitions, and reports of feeling a menacing presence.

What could be the source of the activity?Many tragedies have occurred over the years. On Tom Sawyer’s Islands three boys drowned. A man who died on the Space Mount. A woman named Dolly was crushed to death after she fell out of her sled on Matterhorn Mountain and hit by another sled. Unfortunately each one of these attractions seem to have a tragedy associated with them.

I think this would be a great place for someone to conduct an investigation.

The movie ‘A Haunting In Conneticuit’ will open in theaters this friday. According to a recent news article all of this media attention is causing stress for the current owners of the house.

Curious fans are flocking to the property driving by at all hours of the day and night. Stopping and taking pictures. This has led the owners to take down the number sign and post ‘no tresspassing’ signs on the property.

“The family has never seen anything unusual inside their five-bedroom, two-family white wood-frame house and does not believe the property was haunted. Police have even added extra patrols to the neighborhood”.

The movie will be released on DVD close to Halloween so I’m sure this isn’t going to go away for them anytime soon.

Some signs that your house may be haunted are:

*Items disappearing.

*Unexplained noises-footsteps, doors closing, scratching, or banging sounds.

*Your animals act strangely-animals have sharper senses than us humans.

*A feeling of being watched or a sense of uneasiness.

*Lights, TV or toys turning on and off by themselves.

*Seeing unexplained shadows.

*Cold or hot spots.

*Feelings of being touched.

These are just a few signs that you may be dealing with a haunting. What should you do? First off don’t panic. There may be natural explanations for anything that you are experiencing. I recently woke up to what I thought was music playing and it turned out to be a very strange sound coming from a refurbished refrigerator that we bought.

If you have basically ruled out any natural phenomenon or you really do feel scared in your house, don’t hesitate to ask for help. Many cities and states have paranormal investigator listings. Be sure and check them and their credentials out before deciding to use them.
